Santa Paws Drive is a website dedicated to raising money for animal charities, particularly for pets who are proving difficult to rehome. For Greenfields they have kindly decided to 'sponsor' Harold, an interview with Harold can be seen on:
http://blog.santapawsdrive.com/2011/11/harold-handsome-greyhound-from.html
Each year Santa Paws Drive select six shelters worldwide who will benefit from the donations - this year there were 4 from the US, 1 from Canada and 1 from the UK.Just counted the last monies in from the sponsored walk and we have raised a grand total £965.00. Huge thank you to all our supporters who worked so very hard to raise sponsorship and take part in the walk. See you all next year!
Our sponsored walk was a big success, the weather stayed fine and Tittesworth Reservoir was a wonderful place to walk. I would like to say a very big thank you to all our supporters, both human and canine, who turned out on the day and also to our volunteers John, Jo and Tommy who put in so much hard work to help organise it. Ruth Galvin was a star with her nail clippers even if Princess Cassie didn't think so. A great day was had by all and see you all next year.

Greenfields at the Deganwy Prom Day was a lovely day enjoyed by all. Below is a photo of the two winners Sal won 1st place in the Best Oldies and she and Joe won 2nd place in the Best Alike Pair.
Four legged Greenfield Reps Sal, Joe and Phantom during a hard day's work!
We had a pretty good day at the Llandudno Extravaganza. After a slow - and very windy(!) start, we had a lot of visitors and three or four enquiries about re-homing a hound.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I first came, I was confused and very unsure
Being sociable to me was a chore
But as the days went by I learnt to relax
To play, to love - and to live life to the max
In these few months you have turned my life around
Now I have to leave you, as a home I have found
I will keep in touch, I’ll write and I’ll phone
And tell you what it’s like to live in a home
Thank you so much for what you have done
For the walks and the treats and for being my mum
Take care, and don’t worry, I will see you soon
Little Tyler-Todd who is now the great Typhoon!!!!

At Ellesmere Cremore Gardens, Greenfields hosted their first dog show in partnership with Shropshire County Council Countryside Services. promoting responsible ownership and awareness of rescue greyhounds.
Everybody had a great day. Lots of lovely lurchers and greyhounds turned up not to mention all the local dogs both crossbreed and pedigree who took part in the other classes. We had some good stalls too. Greyhound Gap turned up with all their lovely handmade collars and accessories. It really was a good day out for all sighthound lovers. The photo shows Mr Dylan Thomas who won Best in Show and on the right Lynne Dean from Shropshire Counryside Scheme who did so much to help Hayley organise the show.

Thomas was originally on our rehoming page but was found to have developed a tumour. Update:
Thomas continues to do well and now runs around the fields at a vast pace. He loves sunbathing and has made good use of the current good weather by getting up at six in the morning to get his favourite spot in the sun. He has convinced us that if a dog only has three legs then he needs a vast supply of sausage rolls and tins of tuna, we are not quite sure why but we are going along with it
The photo shows Thomas saying a big thank you to the veterinary team who removed his leg at Churnet Valley Vets in Cheddleton. Greefields would not be able to do the work we do without the help of Pat, Dawn, Sue and Katie..
