Really interesting article. Our own vets, Churnet Valley Vets always refuse to operate on a greyhound 7-10 days either side of vaccination because of the danger of bleedout.
This is very important when getting greyhounds blood tested
Always make sure your vet understands a greyhound's blood results as they are not the same as other breeds and may tell you there is something wrong with your dog when there isn't.
On another note, greyhounds make excellent blood donors, great veins, laid back so happily lie down to allow donation (sometimes actually fall asleep) and blood type that can help any breed of dog in an emergency.
